Be Prepared Before the Storm:
Everyone needs to be prepared for the unexpected. Follow these tips:
- Meet with your family to create an emergency plan.
- Post emergency numbers by the telephone, and save important contact
information to your smart phone.
- Know how and when to turn off water, gas, and electricity.
- Take pictures of your insurance policies - so they are handy and/or stored on your phone for easy and portable access!
- Take all necessary steps to protect your property from further damage, for example: Secure outdoor furniture; remove loose tree limbs.
- Prepare your generator for use in the event that your home or business loses power.
- Move cars to higher ground to avoid any flooding.
- Create TWO emergency kits: one for your home and one for your car.
- Follow us on social media for up-to-date storm information.
